Today was my last full day in Calgary, and the plan was simple, relax and sleep in. Mission accomplished!
I finally rolled out of bed around 10, just in time for lunch at 12:30. Afterward, we took Pam’s puppy, Loki, for a long walk. It was a beautiful day, sunshine, fresh air, and plenty of exercise. Loki definitely set the pace, and I just tried to keep up!
In the evening, we had dinner with Pat and Trent. The meal was perfect, fresh salad, tasty chicken, and fruit for dessert. Simple, healthy, and full of great conversation.
As this chapter in Calgary wraps up, I can’t help but feel grateful. Spending time with Pam and Loki has been wonderful, we packed in so many great memories, from mountain views to lazy mornings. It’s been an amazing trip, and I already know I’ll be back. (Hopefully Loki remembers me!)
Tomorrow morning, I take a flight back to Toronto and then hit the road for Ottawa, where a hockey game awaits. The adventure continues, just trading the mountains for the ice.
