Day 3: From Slam Dunks to Scenic Gorges — A Full-Court Press Through New England!-

I started the day at the Basketball Hall of Fame. It was like walking through an ESPN highlight reel. In the lobby, they had a huge tribute to Pete Maravich, my favorite player growing up. They highlighted the 2025 HOF inductees, Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard, WNBA legends Sue Bird, Maya Moore, and Sylvia Fowles, the 2008 Redeem Team members. It was great seeing Part Summit and Geno Auriemma in the HOF as coaches.

Quechee Gorge was very interesting, the view from the bridge was amazing and slightly terrifying if you don’t love heights. The river below was beautiful. I took about 47 pictures that all looked the same. 😎

Franconia Notch State Park, home of the Basin, the Artists Bluff, and the Flume Gorge were very good.

The Basin was very cool, everytime I thought I was at the end, there were more rocks and small waterfalls.i kept going down further and further. The walk back to the parking lot was pretty steep.

Artist’s Bluff, was a short hike with a beautiful view.

Flume Gorge – unfortunately, they're was a ruined reservation and they were full. I did get some nice foliage pictures and small water flows.

Sabbaday Falls, Rocky Gorge and the Kancamagus Highway

The Kancamagus Highway was twisty roads, mountains, and some cool fall colors on the trees. It was not as much fun driving back in the rain.

Sabbaday Falls was very good, but I think I was spoiled by all the Canadian waterfalls.

i ended the day at Rocky Gorge, where the water falls were good. I hope the others I am going to are bigger. 😎

Today was fun, but lots of hiccups. Oh well, life on life terms and they were just some tough moments, not the whole day. No cell service, no GPS, getting bad directions which took me way out of the way, which caused me to miss the white mountains and Mount Washington, which will be added to tomorrow, change of hotels and some issues there, etc., etc., etc.
