I kicked off the day in Toronto and hopped on a four and a half hour flight to Calgary to visit my friend Pam. After she picked me up at the airport, we hopped on a bus and grabbed lunch at a spot that looked similar to the setup at Whole Foods. I should’ve taken a picture. I went with a small salad, roasted beets and squash, which were amazing, some perfectly seasoned carrots, and a falafel that was ok.
Next, we took a train to the downtown library, a building so modern it looked like it could take off if you pressed the wrong button. Then we headed to Centennial Park, which was under construction, so instead of fountains, we got to see dirt, and a cool statue of a general.
Still, the day was beautiful, so we just kept walking, nearly 14,000 steps.
We also stopped by a crystal shop where I picked up some good stones for my meditation room. I figure if my feet survive today, they deserve some healing energy too. 😎
After walking the dog by final count was 19,661 steps today. I'm tired.
The weather has been perfect, sunny and in the 60s. But tomorrow morning, it’ll be in the 30s, perfect weather for heading to Canmore and Banff, where I’ll get to return to those majestic mountains I love so much.
